On Tuesday 15 September, we are planning the first information session for the January release 2027. At the first information session for a release, we always discuss the planning and scope of the release, which topics are included and what impact they will have. We also look ahead to the testing and transition phases. We will explain this and more during this first session.
What is the scope of the release?
- TS088 ‘Controle naam aangeslotene kleine aansluiting’ (‘Verification name of small connection customer’)
Topic TS088 focuses on improving data quality and is mandatory for suppliers and distribution system operators (DSOs). This topic will go live on 1 January 2027. - TS094 ‘Onderscheid AMI AZI in allocatievolumes SMA’ (‘Distinction between AMI and AZI in SMA allocation volumes’)
Topic TS094 provides insight into the distinction between AMI and AZI (consumption with or without production) in SMA (smart meter allocation) volumes. This topic is mandatory for DSOs, but optional for balancing responsible parties (BRPs). This topic will go live on 16 January 2027. - In addition, the transition period for Topic TS073A ends on 1 January, affecting DSOs and metering responsible parties.

Programme
During the information session, we will outline, for each market role, the impact that each topic has on processes and data exchange. The aim is to provide you with a broad foundation for the implementation of the January release. The programme is broadly as follows:
- Opening by the chair of the Integral Implementation Management Consultation (IISO)
- Planning and scope of the January release 2027
- New and amended processes and messages based on the topics within scope, with explanations for each topic and market role
- Development and qualification of the DSOs
- Testing and transition
- Explanation of Het Normo’s Market Helpdesk
You will, of course, have ample opportunity to ask the speakers questions. We will compile these questions into a Q&A, which we will publish at a later date on the Energiedatawijzer.
