As part of the May release 2027, the Integral Implementation Management Consultation (IISO) has adopted a new version of the Message Box business service and a Request for Change (RFC) for the API to retrieve determined meter readings and volumes.
Following the introduction of topic TS080 ‘Sharing OVP volumes for large connections with LV’ (‘Sharing ISP volumes for large connections with the supplier’), a new data exchange will take place via the Berichtenbox (Message Box). This will enable the supplier to request that the metering responsible party still provide monthly meter readings.
Furthermore, the business service has been expanded to include the message flows from MB-002. These message flows for small connections were already implemented in August 2026, but not yet included in the business service.

During the development of the API for retrieving determined meter readings and volumes, a number of areas for improvement came to light. For instance, pagination is not necessary due to the limited size of the response and is not technically feasible. Furthermore, some query parameters are being changed from ‘datetime’ to ‘date’, as only the date is relevant within the service. RFC-076 therefore proposes removing pagination and amending the relevant data types. This will make the API specification more practical, consistent and unambiguous.
