Looking back at the Congestion Management event. Register for the follow-up session on 18 August

The Congestion Management event on 4 June was a success. For the first time, Het Normo brought stakeholders together to exchange ideas about the concrete solutions of congestion management.

We kicked off the day with the launch of Het Normo. The name change from BAS to Het Normo marks the next phase and new role. As of 1 January 2026, we will fulfil the statutory task as a data exchange entity (GUE) under the Energy Act. What does this mean? What does this mean? Watch the launch video (in Dutch) of Het Normo.

We thank all participants for their interest and involvement. The event was rated with a nice 7.4 on average. We look back on an inspiring day full of valuable encounters and conversations. In this review you will find everything clearly together:

  • Get an impression of this inspiring day in a minute and a half, watch the aftermovie (in Dutch).
  • Watch the presentations (in Dutch) of our keynotes Ben Voorhorst, Manon Leijten and Kees Vendrik and pitchers Lion van der Heijden, Robben Riksen, Maria Derks and George Trienekens.

Discussions about congestion management

During the interactive sessions via Buzzmaster, a majority of the attendees indicated that congestion will probably never disappear completely. This underlines the importance of continuing to focus on solutions – both in the short and long term. We will definitely work on that!

It also turned out that the importance of good forecasts was widely recognized. Only a small part of the daily forecasts received actually turn out to be useful. In discussions about solutions for congestion management, it became clear once again that this can only be achieved through cooperation. A great task for the MFF.
